LandMark(by TRC) IN BRISBANE

Brisbane keeps its own clock, takes a Wednesday off for the Ekka, and searches by side of the river.

Queensland never moves its clocks, so for half the year a service running on southern time is an hour early with everything it does for you. We run your month on AEST, set the Queensland calendar a year ahead — the Ekka included — and write your posts to the storm season your customers actually ring about. $150 a month inc GST, no lock-in, and you own every account.

01 — BRISBANE

What’s different about being found in Brisbane

Google ranks you on relevance, distance and prominence — all built from details someone has to keep right. In Brisbane those details are the clock, the calendar, the river and the weather.

The monthly checklist is the same in every city. The entries on it are not.

Queensland stays on standard time.

October to April, you are an hour behind Sydney and Melbourne. Anything scheduled on eastern daylight time — a reply, a post, a set of holiday hours — lands an hour early for half the year, and “open now” can read wrong at either end of the day. Your month runs on AEST, all twelve.

The Ekka is a Wednesday, and only for some of you.

The Royal Queensland Show holiday falls on a Wednesday in August for the Brisbane City Council area and not for the councils next door, so Chermside and Strathpine keep different hours that day. Labour Day is in May here and the King’s Birthday in October, unlike the southern states. These are the days a profile says open while the doors are shut.

It’s northside or southside before it’s a suburb.

Then bayside, the west, Logan, Moreton Bay, Ipswich. A plumber in Carindale is not competing with one in Aspley, and the growth is out in the corridors. Your service area, your services wording and your posts get set to the side of the river and the corridor you actually work.

Storm season is a marketing calendar.

October to March means storms, hail, flooding and humidity — roofing, gutters, electrical, air-conditioning, mould and restoration. People search in a hurry then, and ring the first business whose profile looks alive. So: pre-season checks in September, storm-response availability through summer, drainage and mould in the wet.

Two regulators, not one.

Building and plumbing licences come from the QBCC; electrical contractor licences come from the Electrical Safety Office, which requires the number in your advertising — and a Google profile is advertising. We put the right one on your profile and link it so the check takes a click.

02 — EVERY MONTH

What LandMark(by TRC) does for a Brisbane business every month.

The same six inclusions as every city — $150 a month inc GST, no lock-in, and you own every account.

Full detail on each one is on the What LandMark(by TRC) does page. This page is about how they land in Brisbane.

Listings on Google, Bing and Apple.

Claimed, verified, matched to the character, duplicates removed, and the Queensland holiday calendar loaded — including the Ekka Wednesday where your council observes it and skipped where it doesn’t.

Google Business Profile.

Categories chosen as Brisbane searches, plain-English services, fresh job photos, and Q&A seeded with what Brisbane callers ask — “do you come northside?”, “do you do storm damage?”, “are you QBCC licensed?”

A website AI assistants can read.

Ask ChatGPT “who’s a good electrician in Chermside” and it has to find your facts, read them and trust them — your area, your hours, your licence number, in a form a machine can check.

Reviews, replies and Ask a Review.

The request goes out one tap after the job; the reply goes out within 24 hours, in your voice. In storm season that speed is the whole game — a fortnight of unanswered reviews is what a customer sees when they are picking someone at 9pm. Brisbane clinics: Google reviews are managed, nothing goes on your own site, because AHPRA prohibits testimonials.

Social profiles.

Storm-season recommendations get made in community groups, and by the time someone acts on one they are already checking you. Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are finished and kept saying exactly what Google says.

Google Posts.

Four a month on the Queensland year: a job photo with two lines, a seasonal note, an offer if you have one, and the standing reminder of what happens when someone calls.

03 — PROOF

A Brisbane business, once one is live.

We could fill this with a stock photo and a made-up quote. We won’t. This block stays empty until a Brisbane client is live and has agreed to be named.

In the meantime, here is the work in full on a business you can go and check for yourself.

Proof slot — Brisbane

Published only when a Brisbane client is live and has agreed to be named: business, suburb and trade; what we found; what we did in the first 90 days; what changed; the owner’s own words.

04 — WHO IT’S FOR

Who this is for in Brisbane.

Plumbers, electricians, air-conditioning installers, roofers, builders and other licensed trades; solicitors, conveyancers and small law firms; physios, dentists, GPs and allied-health clinics; salons, mechanics, vets, IT and repair shops. Anywhere from the city out to Moreton Bay, Logan, Ipswich and the two Coasts.

Not for you if

You’re online-only, or you want a promised map position. Nobody can promise that, and we won’t.

05 — THREE QUESTIONS

What Brisbane businesses ask us.

I cover Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Is that one profile or two?

It depends on whether you have a real presence in both. One base with a service area that genuinely reaches the Coast is one profile with an honest service area. A second branch with its own address, staff and phone can be a second profile. Inventing an address to look local is the fastest way to get suspended — we’ll tell you which you are on the call.

You’re in Sydney. Does the time difference matter?

Only if nobody plans for it. Replies, posts and hours run on AEST year-round, and your onboarding is booked in your time. The summer hour works in your favour, if anything: something left in your evening is answered before your customers are up.

Do I need pages for northside and southside?

Usually not. Google’s spam policy calls out pages built for area after area that funnel to the same place. If you truly work both sides and can show it — jobs, reviews, people — one area page with real proof can be justified. Otherwise an honest service area and a well-set profile does it.
